Nevada State Fair - June
Nevada State Fair returns to Carson City, Nevada’s great capital. Four days of fun, entertainment, carnival rides, culture, music and so much more. The Nevada State Fair is proud to showcase exhibits from each participating county from our great state of Nevada. Nevada has sixteen counties and one municipality (Carson City).
We’re proud to feature Rendezvous, bringing history to life with Civil War re-enactments, western themed gunfights and horseback cavalry shows. Come on out and enjoy our beautiful June weather with a full day of activities at Mills Park. Free to the public – no entry fees. We look forward to seeing you at the Nevada State Fair!
Stewart Fathers Day Powwow - June
Celebrate Fathers Day Weekend at the Stewart Fathers Day Powwow with the entire family and experience American Indian heritage, history and pride! The former Stewart Indian School will come alive with over 200 dancers, over 25 arts and crafts vendors, Indian Tacos, and Admission is FREE! The Stewart Fathers Day Powwow benefits the establishment of the Stewart Indian School Cultural Center.

Nevada State Railroad Museum
As part of our July 4th celebration we feature V&T Locomotive #25, 1875 woodburning Locomotive Inyo, 1910 McKeen Motor Car and the 1926 Edwards Motor car!
The Nevada State Railroad Museum is a cultural resource dedicated to educating visitors and the community about Nevada railroad history. This mission is accomplished through the collection, preservation and interpretation on significant locomotives, rolling stock, artifacts, photographs and memorabilia directly related to railroads and railroading in Nevada. In addition to static exhibits, select pieces of equipment in the collection are restored and operated throughout the year to demonstrate steam and early gasoline technology and provide visitors with a first-hand experience with railroad history through the sights, sounds and sensations of a train ride.
Carson City Fair - July
Come out and enjoy the fun, excitement, and energy of carnival rides and games for all ages while visiting the Carson City FAIR! Carnival lovers will be delighted with the spinning arms of steel and strobe-flashed gems of lights! Don’t miss out on the adrenaline rush and fun, laughter, screams and music featuring spectacular rides. Guests can also enjoy good food, live entertainment, shows, family-friendly games, antique cars & trucks, parades, and so much more!
Concert Under the Stars - July
This annual community event, which began in 2008, is a fun outdoor concert under the stars in Carson City featuring music, food trucks by local favorites, bars, and a live auction. The concert also serves as a fundraiser for The Greenhouse Project, a non-profit organization that works to establish and sustain a community based greenhouse. Have some summertime fun while supporting The Greenhouse Project’s important mission!
Silver Dollar Car Classic - July
The Silver Dollar classic is hosted at Mills Park in Carson City, NV in July. The park will handle around 400 vehicles in the shade. All vehicles are welcome. We have award classes for everyone as we use Picks and fun type awards, it’s almost guaranteed that you vehicle will fit into our categories or if we catch you sleepin’ we may have an award for you also. It’s a low profile lets have fun kickin’ back in Carson City show. We have many exciting activities and functions planned such as great food and spirits all at 50’s pricing, Dwight’s Cruise where we send everyone down the middle of Carson City to show off the rides, heel kickin’ dance and show & shine with live entertainment, Show ‘n Shine, Poker Run, Barbecue Lunch, and Awards.
Carson City Ghost Walks
Carson City’s rich and intriguing history is explored and theatrically relived in our seasonal evening walking tours, led by Madame Curry a ghostly, witty and fictional character named after the widow of Carson City’s founder, Abe Curry. The Carson City Ghost Walks evening walking tours are a delightfully spooky and enjoyable way to experience Carson City’s Victorian Era and diverse history. Hear about lingering spirits of the long ago centuries, haunted and paranormal stories and gossip from the past. This is a spirit lead, guided walking tour of the downtown district’s west side historic homes and businesses.
Nevada Day Parade - October
Nevada Day is a grand celebration commemorating our admission to statehood on October 31, 1864. Nevadan’s have the distinction of holding the largest statehood celebration in the nation! With events all weekend, the highlight being the Nevada Day Parade.
