V&T Railway Equipment
Engines that Shaped the West
Every piece of equipment on the V&T Railway tells its own story. From the steam that billows overhead on our preserved locomotives to the steady pull of our trusty diesel engines, each train keeps the journey alive. Among them is the beautifully restored 1904 Ardelle Mae Private Car, welcoming up to 30 guests. Whether you’re here to admire mechanical marvels or soak in sweeping Nevada vistas, there’s an adventure waiting that even Mark Twain would tip his hat to.
Meet the Machines That Moved Nevada
Hear the call of a steam whistle through the Nevada hills, feel the power of a diesel engine, or add elegance to the adventure aboard the Ardelle Mae Car. Each piece of equipment is a living link to Nevada’s past, some dating back to the Comstock boom. On the V&T Railway, history isn’t just seen — it’s felt in every rumble beneath your feet.
