Artown – July

For the entire month of July, Reno is Artown! Regarded as one of the most comprehensive arts festivals in the country by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Embraced by the community since 1996, July in Reno only means one thing… Artown! This arts and cultural festival features over 500 multidisciplinary events including music, dance, theater, visual arts, workshops, art walks and much more. Offering a majority of events free to the public, Artown invests in bringing artists of the highest caliber to Reno while elevating Reno’s own local talent. Hot August Nights – August

The Biggest Little City shifts into high gear for Hot August Nights, the largest classic car and nostalgic event in the country! Thousands of visitors come to pay tribute to the exquisitely powerful automobiles and electrifying music of the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s. The world’s premier classic car event, Hot August Nights showcases more than 6,000 vehicles from this golden era of design with events all over Reno and Sparks. Restored hot rods and sexy muscle cars give enthusiasts a first-hand experience of popular decades gone by.

Best in the West Nugget Rib Cookoff – Labor Day Holiday

Calling All Rib Lovers! Named “Best BBQ Festival” by USA Today Top10 Readers’ Choice 2016.

Hosted by the Nugget Casino Resort, the 29th annual event transforms the Labor Day holiday into a must-attend culinary, music, craft, and family end-of-summer affair. Enjoy ribs from 23 of the best cookers from across the world! Shuttles, admission and live entertainment are free.


The Great Reno Balloon Race – September

Up, Up and Away! Soaring high above the Reno skyline, upwards of 80+ beautiful hot-air balloons take flight for the world’s largest free hot-air balloon festival.

This will be the 36th year for one of Reno’s most colorful and spectacular events! Sure, it might be a bit earlier than you’re used to waking up, but you won’t regret it for a moment! Past awards include “Best Special Event in Reno” and “Best Special Event in Northern Nevada.”


Street Vibrations Fall Rally – June & September

Enjoy motorcycle heaven at this celebration of music, metal and motorcycles! It’s the last great motorcycle rally of the season and it’s in downtown Reno, Tahoe, Carson and Virginia City! Everyone knows that the “Biggest Little City in the World” offers unparalleled entertainment, but this event takes it to a new level. There’s live entertainment on six outdoor stages, an unbelievable array of vendor booths, poker runs, scavenger hunts, major concerts, and a fireworks display provided by the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in downtown Reno.

There will be more than 250 vendors and more than 10 factory rigs selling motorcycle accessories, themed art, crafts, apparel new and previously owned rides. A variety of unique food booths await you. The event is open to the public to enjoy FREE live entertainment daily and shop at the vendor booths.

Street Vibrations is open to all makes and models of motorcycles and is free to the public. Families are welcome and some of the bikes are incredible works of art.
